Field Trips & Tours
The Driftless Area Wetlands Centre offers a wide variety of educational programs for people of all ages. We have a rich outdoor learning environment and programs can be tailored to meet the needs of your class or group.
Field Trips
Field Trips are designed to engage youth in hand-on learning about the natural world. We focus our learning outdoors on inquiry-based activities that students aren’t able to conduct at school. Most programs focus on wetlands, conservation, native plants and wildlife, and the Driftless Area and natural resource management. Service learning opportunities are available for junior high and high school age groups.
Most field trips for school groups are scheduled for April/May and September/October. We also offer field trips for summer school groups and daycares in June/July.

Tours
We offer guided tours of the wetland and/or specific programs for groups such as boy scouts, cub scouts, girl scouts, church groups, adult groups and families. These programs are most popular in the summer and fall, but staff is also available in the winter months to schedule a visit.
